Music From Home: Appalshop Music Documentaries

On Wednesday Sept. 23rd, as part of Whitesburg Day during the Mountain Heritage Festival, Appalshop will hold an all day screening of Appalshop films that showcase the music of our region. The screenings, which begin at 11 a.m., are free and open to the public.

The films will feature old time musicians like Lily May Ledford and Letcher County's Morgan and Lee Sexton, as well as bluegrass legends Ralph Stanley and Hazel Dickens. We will also screen Sunny Side of Life, a film about the Carter Family and the Carter Family Fold. Below are the screening times.
