WMMT's Fall Fund Drive!

Over the years we have met many listeners, have seen some favorite DJ’s come and go, and aired thousands of songs and countless news features…the numbers are too big to count. But that doesn’t mean we ever forget anyone who has helped make WMMT possible. You are one of those people. It doesn’t matter whether you have given $5 or $5,000 in the past—it takes all kinds of thread to make a quilt.

A quilt—a patchwork of material sewn together into a blanket—what an apt comparison to WMMT. We are a family of almost 50 on-air programmers and a staff of 7. And just like every family; we come in all shapes and sizes. Bluegrass, Gospel, Rock ‘n Roll, Hip-Hop, Old-Time, Soul, Country, and Folk—just some of the different kinds of music you can hear on WMMT. And we’re not only music…in just the last couple of weeks we’ve produced stories about the internet in public schools, dyslexia education, and a live call-in show about children’s health. With the Appalachian Media Institute we’re working with local high school students to produce radio pieces about dropout prevention. We feature local musicians and writers on Appalachian Attitude and spotlight regional artists with Monday’s Art Matters.
