ANNE BRADEN: SOUTHERN PATRIOT Screening in BEREA
 
Appalshop’s latest film release, "Anne Braden: Southern Patriot," will be shown at Berea College’s Loyal Jones Appalachian Center at 6:30 pm on Monday Sept. 17. Appalshop filmmakers Anne Lewis and Mimi Pickering will be present for Q&A and the public is invited.

Folksinger and peace activist Joan Baez described the documentary as “a gem of a film, accented with freedom fighters who speak firsthand about carving a path through a traumatized, violent, racist South, to make way for one of the largest and most effective nonviolent movements for social change the world has ever seen.”
