International Conference

Martedì 25 e mercoledì 26 novembre si terrà in Ateneo il Convegno dal titolo "Violence against women and girls: what are the possible turning points between assessments and perspectives”. L’iniziativa si inserisce nel contesto del 30esimo anniversario della Conferenza di Pechino del 1995 e del decimo anniversario dell’Agenda 2030 per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile delle Nazioni Unite, ponendosi come momento di confronto e approfondimento sui temi della violenza di genere. Promosso dal Preventing and Responding to Gender-Based Violence Laboratory (Responsabile scientifica: prof.ssa Giuseppina Cersosimo - Dipartimento di Studi Politici e Sociali DiSPS), il convegno intende fare il punto sugli obiettivi relativi alla violenza di genere e di promuovere una riflessione interdisciplinare su strategie future di prevenzione e contrasto alla violenza di genere.

The International Conference entitled "Violence against women and girls: what are the possible turning points between assessments and perspectives" will be held at the University of Salerno on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 November. The initiative is connected to the 30th anniversary of the 1995 Beijing Conference and the tenth anniversary of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations, acting as a moment of discussion and study on the issues of gender violence. Promoted by the Preventing and Responding to Gender-Based Violence Laboratory (Scientific director: Giuseppina Cersosimo - Department of Political and Social Studies DiSPS - University of Salerno), the conference intends to focus the gender themes and to promote interdisciplinary reflection on future strategies for preventing and contrast the phenomenon of gender violence.
