Sergio Miranda was born in Salerno in 1973.
Laurea degree cum laude in “Scienze dell'Informazione” (Computer Science) from University of Salerno in 1996. PhD in Information Engineering from University of Salerno.
Contract Teacher of Mathematics at the University of Salerno in 1998-99.
Two research titles in “Artificial Intelligence” and “Multimedia System and 3D Graphics” in 1999.
Teacher of Computer Science, Computer Programming, Artificial Intelligence and related subjects in a lot of training and learning courses since 1999.
Teaching Assistant for Computer Programming, Company Management Information Systems and Operating Systems at the University of Salerno since 2001.
Collaborator of the Centre for Research in Pure and Applied Mathematics (CRMPA) since 1995 and involved in many European and Italian research projects as project and technical manager and/or senior analyst.
Production Director of MOMA, a commercial spin-off of the CRMPA, from 2004 to 2008.
Graduated Technician for the University of Salerno where he leads research and development activities in the Laboratory of Relational Databases since 2000.
Author of more than forty scientific papers.
His research activity is dealt with: e-learning systems, Intelligent Training Systems, Databases, Web-based Applications, Grid Technologies, Metadata and Ontologies for Knowledge Management, Neural Networks design and application, Fuzzy Logic and Image Processing.
